Yoga for Runners (July 12th)

This workshop is for all runners of any distance, experience, or terrain. It will focus on yogic postures to help restore your active body and mind. We will cover breathing techniques, and a beginner-friendly/all-levels yoga practice designed to improve flexibility, mobility, and focus. Bring a yoga/ exercise mat, water, towel, and an open mind.
(If you don't own a yoga mat, we have ones you can use at the studio as well.)

Tap It Out! EFT/ Tapping Circle (7/14)

Feeling stressed out?? You are not alone! Whether it is work, family, lack of time, physical pain, or something else altogether, join the circle and learn a skill to help you transform your tension into tranquility. In this 60 minute workshop, we will utilize Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) to reduce our stress/pain/etc. and clear the way for more of what we want to see in our lives. EFT is an energy based technique used worldwide in various healing professions. As a group, we will tap on selected points of the face, head, chest, and hands which run along the acupuncture (or energetic) meridians. By tapping while using specific language, we can release stuck or excess emotions and rebalance our energy system. EFT is simple, gentle, and remarkably effective.
The class will include a basic instruction on EFT tapping points. No experience is necessary. You will leave feeling lighter with a new tool in your toolbox to help you invoke a sense of calm whenever you need it.

Recharge & Renew: Restorative Yoga, Bodywork, Meditation, and Sound Bath (July 25th)

In this workshop, restorative yoga is combined with stretching assists and bodywork. The goal of these assists is to enhance the postures, align the body, and maximize your ability to soften into passive yoga asanas. Massage and bodywork will be used to place focus on parts of the body that may need special attention. This practice is followed with a yoga nidra (guided meditation) and a sound bath with singing bowls, chimes, and other peaceful sounds.
Join us, in this two-hour workshop, to revitalize the mind, body, and soul.
This is for all levels; prior yoga experience is not required. Please wear comfortable clothes you can move in and bring socks and a sweater or sweatshirt to bundle in for the yoga nidra and sound bath experience.

Please arrive at least 5 minutes prior to the start of the workshop. Door will be locked at the start of the workshop.

Mindful Movement

This is a stationary yoga class working on breath, movement, and proper alignment. This class will have you in holds while focusing on your breath. The heat helps to loosen your joints, and assists in you going a little deeper into each pose. This class is a slower paced full body class for those who are beginner to advanced practitioners. All levels are welcome.

As a group, we will tap on selected points of the face, head, chest, and hands which run along the acupuncture (or energetic) meridians. By tapping while using specific language, we can release stuck or excess emotions and rebalance our energy system. EFT is simple, gentle, and remarkably effective.
The class will include a basic instruction on EFT tapping points. No experience is necessary. You will leave feeling lighter with a new tool in your toolbox to help you invoke a sense of calm whenever you need it.

Mindful Movement

This is a stationary yoga class working on breath, movement, and proper alignment. This class will have you in holds while focusing on your breath. The heat helps to loosen your joints, and assists in you going a little deeper into each pose. This class is a slower paced full body class for those who are beginner to advanced practitioners. All levels are welcome.

In this workshop, restorative yoga is combined with stretching assists and bodywork. The goal of these assists is to enhance the postures, align the body, and maximize your ability to soften into passive yoga asanas. Massage and bodywork will be used to place focus on parts of the body that may need special attention. This practice is followed with a yoga nidra (guided meditation) and a sound bath with singing bowls, chimes, and other peaceful sounds.
Join us, in this two-hour workshop, to revitalize the mind, body, and soul.
This is for all levels; prior yoga experience is not required. Please wear comfortable clothes you can move in and bring socks and a sweater or sweatshirt to bundle in for the yoga nidra and sound bath experience.

Mindful Movement

This is a stationary yoga class working on breath, movement, and proper alignment. This class will have you in holds while focusing on your breath. The heat helps to loosen your joints, and assists in you going a little deeper into each pose. This class is a slower paced full body class for those who are beginner to advanced practitioners. All levels are welcome.

In this workshop, restorative yoga is combined with stretching assists and bodywork. The goal of these assists is to enhance the postures, align the body, and maximize your ability to soften into passive yoga asanas. Massage and bodywork will be used to place focus on parts of the body that may need special attention. This practice is followed with a yoga nidra (guided meditation) and a sound bath with singing bowls, chimes, and other peaceful sounds.
Join us, in this two-hour workshop, to revitalize the mind, body, and soul.

This is for all levels; prior yoga experience is not required. Please wear comfortable clothes you can move in and bring socks and a sweater or sweatshirt to bundle in for the yoga nidra and sound bath experience.

Join Kula SUP & Truly Yoga for a fun and relaxing morning of Yoga out on the water! Enjoy a special 2-hour Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga Class on the calm waters of the North East River. We begin class with an introduction to stand up paddle boarding on land. You will learn how to paddle, turn, get up and down, and what to do if you fall! An instructor will help you launch, and we head out for a ten-minute paddle to warm up the body before anchoring down and moving through a mellow yoga flow on the boards. We explore sun salutations, steady poses, and even inversions for the adventurous! The class concludes with a deep relaxation on the water. Feel free to bring your own snacks for a fun hangout at the launch afterwards! Local shops & restaurants are within walking distance of our launch spot in the cute town of North East Maryland.
