Finding a Soft Place to Land: Restorative Yoga, Meditation, and Sounding...
This 2 hour workshop is a must during the holiday season to share, shed, and de-stress. While the holiday season can be a time for joy and festivities, a lot of shifts, losses, and changes can also occur.

Grief or loss as we are working with it at this event could be something sudden, unexpected abrupt or tragic. Or a shift and change that took place slowly over time. It can be anything requiring a reset or the need to find new ground or a new sense of self in relationship to others. So: death, divorce/ change in relationship status, loss of money, change in health, career choice/ path, change in body shape or lifestyle habits (the change could even source from something positive like birth or pregnancy).

Even if you are just seeking a few hours to yourself to re-balance from the daily stressors of life, this workshop is for you! The workshop will offer space to share stories out loud and space to be together quietly/ meditative as a community using breath work (pranayama), sounding (tonal music) and restorative asana (postures).

Join Maureen on Dec 7th 2pm-4pm

Fee: $25

Rooted in the Taoist tradition, yin yoga helps regulate the body's flow of energy by focusing on the breath and holding poses longer. Poses are held for 1 to 5 minutes by using props, making the practice accessible to people of all abilities. However, Yin yoga complements more vigorous activities such as flow yoga, running and cycling because connective tissue responds best to a slow, steady load, making the body a bit longer and stronger. The aim is to increase circulation in the joints, improve flexibility, and release myofascial tension as the poses stretch and exercise the bone and joint areas. Yin classes are held at room temperature, never hot or cold!
